I haven’t thought of a name for my signature frame design yet. Been busy hammering out the details & prototypes. My buddy just threw “hamsteak” out there, and I thought it was hilarious. I’m tempted to keep it. Only time will tell how tempted.

Regardless of what it’s called, the bike I’m building is inspired by classic design, with cherry picked bits of modern functionality. My design philosophy emphasizes utility, comfort, durability and simplicity. I’m not trying to build the fastest, or the lightest bike. Rather, bikes that are fun, versatile, stylish and long lasting. I’m slow to adopt new standards; ISO disc mounts, 1 1/8th steerers with EC34 headsets, English bottom brackets will likely never disappear, just the way classic geometry and ride quality consistently put a smile on riders’ faces.

Check back here for updates on prototype iterations, geometric specs, and probably me ranting about dumb new standards. I’m not a retrogrouch, but I used to be.
